The Mikado, which can seat 1300 passengers, is the main entertainment venue on the Carnival Elation. It is here that you can take in large-scale productions with lighting and sound effects that will blow you away because they are on such a grand scale. The elaborate stage shows, musical reviews, comedy, magical and acrobatic acts change nightly so that no shows are repeated on any one cruise. There are two shows each night to accommodate the passengers who choose an early or late sitting for dinner.

The Romeo and Juliet Lounge is the main karaoke bar on the Carnival Elation, making this venue very popular with the passengers. If you are a fan if folk and country music, then you will likely want to spend a lot of time in the Cole Porter Lounge where there is live music every night. Relax in Duke’s Bar and listen to the pianist tickling the ivories. The music is loud enough to be heard but not loud enough to drown out any conversations you have with your friends over drinks.



The Casablanca Casino is a beehive of activity during the day and night. There are tournaments you can enter during the day or if you prefer you can just enjoy the games from the sidelines. Try your luck on one of the many slot machines or test your poker playing skills at one of the gaming tables. In addition to Texas Hold’Em and other poker games, you can also play Roulette, craps and Blackjack.

The pool is also one of the entertainment venues on the ship and not just because of the fact that you can play in the water, slide down the giant slide or soak up the sun’s rays on the pool deck. There is an adults only pool, known as the Serenity Retreat, where no kids are allowed. Waiters will bring your drink orders to your lounge chair and you can relax in prefect contentment.

There is also live music playing at the poolside during the day, not to mention the various contests in which you can compete. The Men’s Hairy Chest contest is especially enjoyable. If you like art auctions, card games, Bingo or Trivial Pursuit, there are plenty of such activities during the day as well.

The shore excursions are planned to perfection so that you get to know the ports of call in a very different way. These can be arranged at the main desk in the Atrium if you do not make them when you book the cruise.
